Everytime I finish reading a book, it kinda makes me feel sad, like a part of me is missing…
Jonna Baquillas holds her pet, a rescued cat named Rue, both dressed as Little Red Riding Hood during the Philippine Animal Welfare Society’s (PAWS) annual Halloween fund raising event entitled “Scaredy Cats and Dogs: Year 8” at the Eastwood Central Plaza in Manila
Last night my 3 year old wanted to yoga it up with me… And she did!!!! Through the whole thing, two parts equaling one hour of yoga. It was so cute watching her use a robe tie as a yoga strap to strech out her legs.
She’s been having a hard time sleeping through the night with her breathing problems but last night she slept through the whole thing. I wonder if the yoga would have any thing to do with it….
Today my daughter and I made a craft that I call “The Family Tree”, which is constuction paper cut outs of our hands, including grandma and grandpas hands.
Later I took my daughter to a park with a hill that barely had any snow on it, but she went down on her sled with a little help of the mud. After we wondered our way through the playground and decided right there and then to make snow angels, that kind of turned into a sand angel, and forgetting about the sand underneith the snow…WOOOPS
When we got back home, I made us awesome Rolo hot chocolate… But when my dad walked in with a huge cut on his chin from shaving, my sweet, adorable child insisted that her grandpa should use one of her Hello Kitty band aids for his cut. No matter how many times he changed that piece of tissue, it didn’t seem to stop bleeding. I’m not sure what he used to shave with that made such a cut, but my little angel genuienly cared about her grandpas cut. So for my amusment I finally went and grabbed a Hello Kitty band aid for him. After he it was on my daughter even said ”doesnt that feel better?” EEHEHEHE That really topped off the great fun day. =)
At worked, I reached into my pocket and felt something small and squishy. I pulled it out… and it was a PURPLE FROG!!! The frog is one of many frogs that belongs to my 3 year old daughter. It put a big smile on my face especially since purple is my favourite colour.
When I got home, I told my daughter about what I found in my pocket and she laughed and laughed. She thought it was so silly, that she made me retell it to her again. She even said it herself that that was sooo cute. I would kinda like to keep it for myself cause I know everytime I would look at it, it would put a big smile on my face. :)
Today I started my happiness project, the idea was origianly by Gretchen Rubin, auther of “The Happiness Project.” I read the book last year and was inspired of her ideas of how she wanted to make more to her life. I have many resolutions to start the new year, and thought a great way to help would be to start my own happiness project.”
On New Years Eve I picked up Gretchen Rubin’s “The Happiness Project One-Sentence Journal”, which keeps records for 5 years. I also bought one for my best friend who read “The Happiness” project book and wanted to start her own happiness project.
Yesturday before bed, I did write in the journal, and plan on doing so for the next 5 years. (January 1, 2012: “Watched “How To Train A Dragon” with Layla, Melissa and Jason, good way to start the first day of year Dragon.”) =D
Today I signed up for “The Happiness Project Toolbox” online which is a web site made to start your own Happiness preoject, including setting resolutions, list, resolution groups, an inspiration baord and more. So I started my resolution goals and list which include, my health and saving money. I plan to keep continuing each resolution for a minimum a year but the beginning of each month I plan on adding another resolution.
Its very important to me to be the best I can be as a mother, a daughter, a friend,a sister, a lover, an employee and most importantly a person that I respect. I believe there is always room for improvment as we grow and learn more about life and ourselfs. The happiness for myself and others in my life is important to me in fully living my life.
Today we made homemade cookiiieeeesssssss!!!! I felt like baking, so when I asked my little monster what we should bake she said said “Icing Cookies”… I looked up a recipe online. It was alot of messy, yummy and more messy fun. They turned out pretty good in the end too =D
